$30M Recent Shazam Investment Deal
Shazam Entertainment Ltd. company executives said that a recent deal gained $30 million for the music-discovery company.
That amount is just under 3% of the value of the company, which is at just about $1 billion, according to Execs.
Shazam's popularity is because of the ability to quickly scan sound waves from a piece of recorded music, compare the pattern with about 35 million songs and return matches on the artist, song name, album, lyrics, and where you can get the song.
